In July 2008, Koryo Family Taekwondo master instructors competed in the 2008 World Taekwondo Hanmadang which was held in Anaheim, California.  Below is a short slide show/video which highlights the Hanmadang as an unforgettable experience for Koryo Family Taekwondo Center.

Memorial Day

There will be NO CLASSES on Monday, 31 May 2010–Memorial Day.  Everyone enjoy your break.

On Memorial Day, let us remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our freedom.

2010 Golden State Taekwondo Championships

Parents, guardians, and students,

The 2010 Golden State Taekwondo Championships is just around the corner–15 May 2010.  Please mark that on your calendar.

This event is sanctioned by the Northern California Taekwondo Association (NCTA), the California Unified Taekwondo Association (CUTA), and the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).

If you’ve never seen a Taekwondo event, check this one out.   This tournament offers various events:

• Traditional forms
• Sparring
• Board breaking
• Creative forms
• Weapons

You can participate by being a spectator, or if you are a Taekwondo student, you can compete in one or more events, but let your instructors know so that they can help you prepare.  When the time comes, your instructors can be there to support you.

If you are a student, please continue to come to class and keep practicing at home.  If you are a parent, guardian, or someone who helps motivate one of our student, please continue to encourage them to come and practice.

This year Koryo FTC parents, students, and instructors (in coordination with Koryo FTC) did their part in helping the EFB maintain their operations in support of others who cannot support themselves.

With matching funds and additional donation from Koryo FTC, we were able to contribute $2,295 to the EFB! 

Thank you parents, students, and instructors for supporting our efforts to help the community.  We know that by helping others, we are able to perpetuate good deeds that will ultimately come around to benefit us all in one form or another.

On top of that, good job for setting a good example!
